External Design
Working with an award-winning London design house, many months were spent designing a machine which looked minimalistic and contemporary, but also retained it's traditional roots. The agreed design lent itself to good aesthetics, allowed for rugged steel paneling and bodywork throughout - without compromising the strict blueprint requirements for all-round functionality and serviceability.
The last thing we wanted it to be was "all the rage", as "all the rage..." is swiftly followed by "...back then". Wacky, funky and futuristic body work can be interesting today, but is often quick to date. Classic, simple designs are timeless. As your Star espresso machine will last for many years, it needs to look good tomorrow, not just today.
There is certainly no devil in our detail. Attention to these details, combined with the skill-level and advanced techniques employed by British steel makers enables us to create a finish which gets better and better the closer you look. We urge you to lift up the drip tray, pull off the side panels and unscrew the top of the espresso machine. You will find the finish exemplary, both inside and out.
Internal Design
Ok, it is all well and good dressing the machine, but it needs to be capable of producing fantastic espresso day in and day out. The Star espresso machines were designed from the very beginning to be fully-functional, all-round machines which could excel in any environment. We are not looking to gain from after sales service or maintenance contracts. In using only the best parts available, with state of the art manufacturing techniques, we wish to maintain our outstanding reputation for reliability and quality.
Decades of espresso machine manufacturing experience have gone in to the design of the Star espresso machine. It contains every feature required of a traditional espresso machine and more, all in one package. The design is such that it is compact yet retains a huge boiler, can accept large take-away cups/latte glasses and is brimming with automatic features. This is all possible due to the clever positioning of parts and chassis design, so that every inch is used efficiently.
