Coffee Shop
The coffee shop is where the majority of traditional commercial espresso machines will find themselves. It is amazing, however, how many espresso machines are ill equipped for what is perhaps their most challenging environment. Coffee shops call for:
- Extremely high peak outputs at certain periods
- Large amounts of hot water for tea and hot chocolate
- All sizes of cups be they; standard ceramics, latte glasses, mugs and all sizes of take-away cups
- A compact footprint to save space on what is often limited counter space
- Simple operation as staff turnover is invariably high

Having been designed from the outset to be a all round espresso machine, it goes without saying that this challenge is where the Star espresso machine shines. The following features answer all of the questions a coffee shop can ask:
- Large, dense group-heads keep the temperature constant for perfect extraction
- 1, 2 and 3 group machines contain huge 7, 14 or 21lt boilers respectively, combined with powerful 2.85, 4 and 7kW heating elements ensuring an ample supply of hot water for tea, hot chocolate etc. - often preventing the need for an additional hot water boiler
- The high 'drop' of the machine means that it can accept any size cup or mug - no wasting time transferring espressos and burning hands!
- Clever design means that you don't have to concede boiler size and power for a smaller footprint. At 660mm wide, the 2-group is the size of a so-called 'compact' model, whilst offering a capacity larger than the majority of larger machines available
- Every machine has been ergonomically designed with automatic dosing as standard, whilst an automatic cleaning cycle ensures that even the busiest (or lazy!) of staff will correctly clean the machine.
