Restaurant

When the credits roll and you both stand up at a cinema, what is the first thing you say. "What did you recon?", "Too much talking, not enough action...". When a couple or group finishes a meal the first thing they do is assess how it was, and the last impression they most often get is the taste of your coffee.

It is amazing what a difference a quality, nicely presented cappuccino can make. The £11.50 squid wasn't tough, the £17.50 Chardonnay was crisp... but the £1.95 coffee tasted horrific. It is understandable that it can be overlooked as a necessary offering against the backdrop of a huge wine list, bustling kitchen and double-booked tables. But due to its unique position on the batting order, it can and should be used to leave a good last impression.

So what does a restaurant demand of it's espresso machine?

  • Modern design, with purpose and presence. Restaurants are often refurbished to the tune of hundreds of thousands of pounds. An espresso machine often takes up residence in a prominent position and shouldn't need to be hidden in the corner. A well designed espresso machine shouldn't look out of place with modern decor, whilst exuding quality
  • Simple operation. The espresso machine is generally used by everyone, and staff turnover can be high
  • Self-sufficiency. Unlike small coffee shops, the espresso machine is often further down the list of priorities. Often, no individual is really in charge of its well-being, and it sometimes needs to look after itself

How have we designed the Star espresso machine to meet the needs of a restaurant?

  • Many commercial espresso machines' style are designed abroad for a different market. Star espresso machines were meticulously designed by award-winning London designers. The contemporary design will fit in to any decor with an understated black or stunning chrome finish, while custom colours can easily be accommodated. Intense LED's, matching LED instruments and such a clean, muscular design make for a machine with immense presence - either in front of, or behind, the bar.
  • Every machine has been ergonomically designed with automatic dosing as standard. An automatic cleaning cycle means that even the busiest (or lazy!) of staff will correctly clean the machine.
  • The machine has several levels of protection and self-diagnostics, both electronic and inherently incorporated within the design. You don't have to put a glass to the side panel, clear warnings are given in plain English on the LCD display to alert you to any problems. Please look here for self-diagnostics details
